State Governance
Tasmania has a state Constitution, which divides the state government into the same divisions of legislature, executive, and judiciary.
Laws are enacted by the elected Parliament, enforced by the Police (about one police officer for every 400 Tasmanians) and administered by a hierarchy of courts.
